Exceptional coffee.
Always organic.
At Dukes, we are uncompromising about coffee quality. For us, exceptional coffee and responsible agriculture are not separate conversations. We believe organic farming creates the strongest foundation for cup quality, while supporting healthier farms, stronger communities and a more resilient future for coffee.

Taste matters.
Since the first Dukes store opened in Melbourne in 2008, our pursuit of exceptional coffee has taken us into homes and cafés across Australia and beyond. Along the way, we’ve built strong relationships with some of the world’s best coffee growers, cooperatives and producer groups.
Today, we're proudly Australia’s only coffee roaster specialising exclusively in Regenerative Organic Certified® and Organic Certified specialty quality coffees, bringing together two worlds that rarely exist side by side: the uncompromising quality of the finest specialty coffees and a commitment to organic farming.
Tomorrow matters.
We are shaped by the people we work with, the way they grow coffee and their connection to land and community. They believe in protecting what’s around them and what comes next.
Knowing and working directly with farmers has changed us, too. It’s given us a deeper sense of purpose, and a reason to believe that a better way of doing things is not only possible, but already happening.
Coffee farmed with nature,
not against her.
Our farmer partners take great care of their land by prioritising soil health, clean water and biodiversity. They farm with nature, not against her, in a way that has a positive impact on their environment, local communities and beyond.
Why Organic?
Organic agroforestry systems support healthier, more resilient soils and ecosystems. Plant diversity supports bees and other pollinating insects, as well as birds and other wildlife.
Organic systems usually supply nutrients more slowly than synthetic fertilisers. Coffee grown under diverse agroforestry systems can develop more complex flavours, with slower maturation and stable microclimates contributing to its development.
A Future for Coffee
Organic agroforestry systems store carbon naturally and help protect coffee plants from the impacts of a changing climate.
We have seen first-hand that when communities work together under the guidance of experienced organic agronomists and farmers, the whole community benefits.
Choosing to purchase organic coffee and support organic producers is central to the future we want for coffee.
