A remarkable Natural Mokka from longtime Dukes partner Oscar Daza at Hacienda La Pradera in Santander, Colombia.

Mokka is unlike almost anything else we roast. The variety’s tiny, distinctive beans and natural processing come together in a silky, creamy cup with jammy cherry sweetness, ripe red berry, smooth chocolate and soft, gentle acidity.

A third-generation producer and pioneer of organic specialty coffee in Santander, Oscar has helped establish La Pradera as one of Colombia’s most recognised organic coffee farms.

Regenerative Organic Certified® and produced in extremely limited quantities, this individually numbered release will be roasted in small batches for five weeks only.

One of Northern Colombia’s most innovative producers, Oscar Daza has built Hacienda La Pradera into one of the world’s leading organic coffee farms.

Mokka is a variety unlike almost anything else we roast. Its cherries and seeds are unusually small, producing the tiny, distinctive beans for which the variety is known.

Harvested in 2025 at 1850masl, the character of the variety and natural processing come together in a coffee of remarkable texture and concentration. Silky and creamy, with jammy cherry sweetness at its core, ripe red berry gives way to smooth chocolate and soft, gentle acidity.

Selected for Season’s Best, this exceptionally limited release captures Oscar Daza and La Pradera at their best.

Behind the coffee is Oscar Daza and Hacienda La Pradera, a longtime Dukes partner whose coffees have been part of our program across several seasons. We have released Oscar’s Mokka before, alongside other exceptional lots from La Pradera, allowing us to follow the farm and its development across successive harvests.

Located in Aratoca, Santander, the farm was established by Oscar’s father, Héctor Daza, in 1970. From the beginning, La Pradera was shaped around ecological diversity and conservation. Coffee grows within a layered agroforestry system alongside extensive shade trees, productive timber trees and complementary crops, creating conditions that support biodiversity while allowing coffee to develop slowly and distinctly.

Today, Oscar continues that philosophy while pushing coffee quality forward. La Pradera produces an extraordinary range of varieties including Gesha, Tabi, Wush Wush, Maragogype and Mokka, supported by processing approaches developed around each variety and the climatic conditions of Santander.

In 2025, La Pradera became Regenerative Organic Certified®, formalising an agricultural philosophy that has shaped the farm for decades.
